Crystal & Reiki Healing

Crystal Healing is by no means a new therapy. Crystals have been used since the beginning of time when it was believed that crystal forces set the electromagnetic field of the earth so that human souls could incarnate. Legends of the ancient continent of Atlantis tell us that crystals generated power for entire cities. It was speculated that Egyptian pyramids were capped with crystals to channel cosmic forces into these perfect structures. Many civilizations have used crystals and stones for healing and protection to the most powerful initiations.

Crystals are composed of minute particles called atoms, which create energy and produce subtle vibrations. When used in healing and placed on the body, the crystals help raise your vibration to bring your energy into balance. With your body in balance it enables you to function wholly, fighting disease, combating stress that may lead to physical illness.

Crystal healing is a very relaxing therapy. It enables you to ‘switch off’ from the world for a short while to enable your own self-healing. When I learnt crystal healing, with Lisa Cooley in Norfolk, (2000) it was the therapy that brought about the most changes to my life. A real journey of self-discovery.

 

Reiki is a wonderful Universal energy that I am honoured to have connected with.  It is such a valuable skill to deepen and mature my healing ability.  This energy is with me throughout all of my treatments and I feel it enhances the healing level for the client.

Reiki therapy is a complementary healing modality that was developed in 1922 by Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist. It is relaxing and reduces stress, which in and of itself promotes healing.  Practitioners use Reiki energy to clear the energy in the body and increase the flow of life force energy in order to clear the mental and emotional pollutants that interfere with life force energy and cause problems.
 
The word Reiki comes from “Rei” meaning light, and “Ki” meaning life force energy. Combined, Reiki means “spiritually guided life force energy.” You may feel this energy when you’re having a Reiki treatment and you will end the session feeling very relaxed. Reiki is a safe method of spiritual or energy healing. Virtually all illnesses and conditions can be helped or improved using Reiki and it’s a wonderful complement to western medical treatments because it has no side effects and promotes a happy, positive mindset which is essential to healing.
 
The body is more than just a physical object – it is a combination of the physical body and the thinking/spiritual being. Together, that makes up “you.”  Reiki works holistically to allow the real you – without the physical and emotional pollutants – shine through.
 
Reiki stimulates energy to move in the body.  You already have energy in your body but it may be blocked and not flowing smoothly.  During or after a treatment, you may feel the effects of energy being unblocked.
 
Although Reiki is a valid treatment in its own right, it is the perfect companion to a crystal healing as if doubling the amount of energy and balancing.

In September 2013 I studied USUI Reiki Level I and Level II (Practitioner Level) at A Place of Springs. I studied with Carol Almond, who is a Reiki Master. 

In January 2015 I studied for my Reiki Master level, gaining my certificate in March 2015. I have successfully begun my training of Reiki Level 1 and 2 students. To find out more about beginning this amazing career please visit the Reiki page.

In November 2022 I took a Reiki Drum Technique Course with Hayley Pearson of Serenity Touch.  It has been a while since I was in the student seat, and I was very much looking forward to the two day presentation.  Wow - I was blown away with how drumming consciously over the body, bringing in the Reiki Symbols, can completely charge up the power of Reiki.  I will be teaching this addition next year as I'm totally sold on how amazing the results of healings have ramped up.  For details to experience a Reiki Drumming journey click here
